Brandeis Commemorates Israeli Soldiers With Virtual Yom HaZikaron Ceremony

Though the facilities have closed, classes and school events at The Brandeis School are in full swing. Faculty members Mrs. Shelly Zaltsman and Mrs. Hagit Genosar coordinated a beautiful and poignant Yom HaZikaron ceremony that conveyed the importance of paying tribute to Israel's heroes.

The Zoom event, held on Monday evening 4/27, welcomed more than 110 participants (with multiple people sharing screens in many homes), as 7th grade students paid tribute to the brave men and women who fought to protect the Land of Israel.  Rabbi Saul Haimoff recited Kel Maleh Rachamim, and Mr. Raz Levin spoke about our eternal connection to Eretz Yisrael and our responsibility as Jewish people to honor those who risked their lives to fight for the nation.
