The Brandeis  School partners with The Friendship Circle

to start a sports night this coming December!

Great post-Thanksgiving Hesed Project!!!

Calling 6th, 7th and 8th grade volunteers on Monday nights at 5:45 PM (12/1, 12/8, 12/15 and 12/22)

The Friendship Circle reaches out and extends a helping hand to families

whose children have special needs and involves them in a full range of

Jewish and social experiences. For more information you can check out

their website http://www.chabad5towns.com/friendshipcircle

In the past, parents have approached The Friendship Circle about creating

a sports program for their children. While siblings partake in a variety of

after school activities, many times the child with special needs is forced to

remain on the sidelines as an observer. The Friendship Circle and

The Brandeis School are starting a sports night this coming December,

on Monday Nights at 5:45 PM.

The kids of the Friendship Circle will come to our facility and join

together in a game of basketball or the like for one evening a week along

with our students, for a 4 week session. Sport activity is a key to building

confidence and physical health.

Our student 6th, 7th and 8th grade volunteers, along with a coach will play

with their friends, working with them to shoot hoops and kick goals.

Our volunteers will guide their new friends as they develop skill and

competence in this area. The greatest success we  hope to accomplish with

this program is to give these special children a chance to play their sport

in a safe and friendly environment, and perhaps more importantly, an

everlasting connection built between each child and his volunteer.

If you would like to participate please call me or e-mail me at Rabbi@TheBrandeisSchool.org

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and Shalom,
